Spend your money elsewhere. My original light started to dim after 4 years of use. Bought a replacement light which is now dimming after only 1 year of use. I only work 3 days a week. Too expensive to replace yearly. The cord that came with the new light didn't work either, had to swap the cord out with my original one.

I really wanted this to work well. I liked the face shield so I really wanted a compatible system.
The tab that switched the sensor sensitivity was broken, right from the box. The light often gets hot, much hotter than my previous q-optic lights. The 360 attachment is stiff and/or just poorly made. Overall the quality isn't there.
Other reviews had mentioned loose connection from the wire to battery, so I questioned the longevity of the product. I ended up returning the product - at least the customer service was good!

I used to use Oras optic loupes and lights. When it was time for a replacement I decided to try a new brand. I bought their light and loupes together. I won’t say the name of the company, but although their loupes are great, their light system is horrible! The circuit board for the battery failed twice in less than a year! A friend of mine recommended Ultralight Optics, and they’re GREAT. They’re as bright as any light I’ve ever tried, if not brighter, they fit my loupes perfectly, the battery lasts and lasts, and so far they’ve been completely reliable. Best of all they’re about half the price of other brands!!

After my Orascoptic light cord shorted out and Orascoptic was offering to sell me a light only for $1200. BUT if I was a student they would sell me one for $500. In my opinion that is just WRONG to charge a working professional DOUBLE!!
So I started looking around at other choices. Found Ultralight Optics, read reviews and decided to purchase the Featherlight headlight. For about $650 I got the headlight, battery and new charger!!! I love this light Hands free works awesome and the battery life if far superior the the Orascoptic one. I installed this myself with the light attachment they sent with it on my loops and it was so easy. When I need frames I am for sure going with Ultralight!!! My best advice after 40 yrs of practicing is don’t waste you hard earned money on Orascoptic or any other brand!! So pleased with my purchase! Thank you for a great product!!

I have been using Designs for Vision for my entire 35 year dental career. Now that I have just 2 years left, I decided to try this Featherlight headlight, and it was a seamless transition. I trimmed the cord clips a bit because they were itchy around my neck. I'm sold on this light. Thank you.

The light works great. I wish the communication was better. I made an order and it said I would have it in about 5 business days. My light was going out and the needed it as soon as possible. The 5 business days came and went. I called and asked about it. Only then did they tell me it was on back order and would have to wait two weeks.

I have several dental loupes that have several purposes. I use Ultralight Optics on my loupes for root canals and implant placement. Lately, I have been using another brand on my loupes for exams when I noticed a drop in lumens of the light. It never was very good in the first place, so I purchased a second Ultralight Optics light for this pair and it has made a world of difference. Thank you!

Works great! The area of illumination is limited. The battery should have auto recharge shut off so it can be left on the charger overnight.

This is my second ultralight headlamp set
There is a poor contact between the lamp and the wire connection
When I switch in on there is no light
I tap the head lamp slightly then it opens.It is quite annoying when is time to operate.Hoping that we can solve the problem soon.

What a fiasco. Ordered it on Wednesday, paid the inflated rate for overnight shipping because I needed it by Friday. Order was confirmed and shipping charged to my card. Didn't receive product until the following Wednesday. Ordinary shipping would have been up to 3 business days. What the heck? I was charged for overnight, didn't get it until later than normal shipping. No apology received. No compensation for missing four days of clinicals. Had to ask for refund on overnight charges. Horrible customer service and followup.

Replacing an Orascoptic Zeon Apollo that served well for many years. What I most like about this light is it's light weight. The light itself is so light it makes a significant difference in my comfort level at the end of a procedure. The same can be said of the battery, which is also much lighter than the Apollo. I'm much more comfortable all around! Highly recommended!
