This is a super nice product that we love because it allows us to use our lights with our loupes and the shield doesn’t get in the way. The shield material is a little delicate when placing it on the frame, so be careful. If they had a stretchy cord to tighten it rather than the current mechanism (which is hard to adjust), that would also be nice. Overall, very nice product and if you want a shield that works with your loupes and light, this is the one.

This shield has been game-changer! My Hygiene team and I have been struggling to find the right combo of PPE to wear and could not find a comfortable face shield that accommodated our loupes and lights. This was perfect- the extenders help make sure there is room for even the bigger lights and lenses. The surprising thing we love the most is actually the flip-up feature which allows some air flow and better patient communication when we aren't generating aerosols. I recommended this to all my colleagues in my DSO.

The face shield is extremely comfortable since the fit can be customized by adjusting the headband. The added feature with the hinge allowing you to flip the shield up sets this product apart from the competition.

The Ultralight face shield is a game changer for me. It allows me to wear my loupes and headlight (as some others do) but the BIG difference is that I can flip up the shield to adjust my light without removing. I did not wear a face shield for most procedures before the Ultralight shield, but now wear it for all procedures that I use a handpiece for.

Adjusting the head band to your head size is not as easy( as personally I broke two to be able to adjust one).

After the initial shutdown from the pandemic, we had to source hard to find PPE and the initial disposable face shields that were available were adequate, but had elastic headbands that were uncomfortable and hot with the thick foam forehead cushion, and they could not be flipped up to speak more clearly to the patient. We sourced some more reusable industrial types from a local store that could flip up but were quite heavy, and pretty soon staff and doctors were noticing it in our necks. In both cases the shields would not fit over my loupes and mounted light. I tried another shield that tried to overcome this by having a flap cut into the shield for the light to protrude through, but it made changing it difficult as the light would constantly get caught on the edges of the flap. When I saw the Ultralight face shield I thought it looked very promising and preordered a couple. Once we started using them we quickly ordered more for the whole staff as they had all the features we wanted: lightweight, adjustable strap, clearance over loupes and light, able to be flipped up, side protrusions I can retain my earloop mask on so my ears don't hurt (I just put them over the shield hinge/tightening screw), and very thin and light affordable replacement shields that we disinfect with 70% isopropyl alcohol between patients until they get too scratched up/dinged to use anymore. Very happy with this product and I recommend it to all my colleagues. Kudos to the Ultralight team for producing such a great product and making working in these difficult times more tolerable.
